A Few Good Men

Off I am on a journey again,

Leaving the warmth of my den,

Through heat and dust, test and pain,

I hope to break off my chain.

Chain I’ve had, of a life I hate,

Without any means to an end,

So I am going to truly abate,

An existence I cannot comprehend.

Let there be thunder and storm,

I do not fear but Him,

Let there be no weather warm,

And violent seas filled to the brim.

I am going off, on a wild wild trip,

As far as my eyes can see,

I am happy and at peace, while the pebbles I skip,

I am going to be finally free.

I am going on an elusive quest,

Of success there I pray,

In search of God’s creatures best,

A Few Good Men are they.

Wish me luck, for this acid test,

For we need them much today,

They are God’s creatures best,

A Few Good Men are they.

A life may be ended and another forgone,

And Evil might lead me astray,

But I will go on and on,

Till I find them, a Few Good Men are they.
